2023 Essay Contest
Do you love our school horses here at N&C? Is there a special horse that has made you feel like you’re on top of the world when you ride them? Maybe they have helped you conquer a fear, learn how to canter, or achieve a certain goal?! We are giving you a chance to tell us all about it in an essay! You could WIN a prize of a free week of summer camp 2023* with us at N&C!
Here are the rules of our contest:
This is only for students that are 12 years old or younger.
Tell us how any of our lesson horses has impacted you and your life in a minimum of 200 words. As mentioned, some examples are: goals they have helped you achieve, how it feels to ride them and the confidence you get when doing so, what they have taught you in life or in riding, a story about an experience you have had with them, etc.
Please no help from an adult! We want to hear it in our students words only- good…bad, we want it all!
Please include a photo and/or drawing of you and the lesson horse you’re writing about!
Deliver this essay by Hand or email to us at nandcequestrian@gmail.com NO LATER than March 1, 2023. We will review, have our judge decide, and then announce our winner on March 4, 2023.
*winner may select any week we offer on our website free of charge, with the exception of week 2 (June 26-30)

N&C Equestrian
Starting 1st September 2022:
Payment is due at time of or before service/lesson. Late payment for service or lesson will incur a fee of $5 per day.
We have a 24 hour cancellation policy. Please cancel 24 hours in advance or you will be expected to pay the full rate for your lesson. No exceptions for any reason.
Students must attend/pay for at least 4 lessons a month in order to continue riding at N&C.
All lessons will cost $95 for 30 minute private, 45 minute semi privates and 1 hour groups.
We will offer lesson packages for those who ride a minimum of twice each week and pay in advance or to family members sharing packages of lessons. This must be paid the 1st of every month for the upcoming month only. 8 lessons cost $680.
Approved riding helmets and paddock or tall boots are required at all times while on horseback. To be approved, helmets must be no more than 4 years old, certified for horseback riding and fit the student appropriately. Hair must be tied back and tidily contained within/by the helmet.
Boarding costs are $1800 a month.
If you own your horse and would like to do a training package in addition to board: Half training will cost for $600 for 8 lessons or training rides a month Full training will cost $1120 for 16 lessons or training rides a month.
Lease rates start at $1,850 plus half of all expenses. The full price of shoeing will be billed. N&C will be Liable for any catastrophic expenses incurred due to leased horse injury.
